ANC HAS SAID IT BEFORE: THIS UPCOMING ELECTION IS NOT
SIMPLY REPUBLICAN vs DEMOCRAT, OR CONSERVATIVE vs
LIBERAL; IT IS BASICALLY CHRISTIAN vs ANTI-CHRISTIAN

It is an old fable . . . perhaps almost a truism . . . that the older you get, the
faster it seems that time goes by. An example: on Nov. 3, 2010, the day after
the last national election, ANC announced a countdown of prayer toward the
next election on Nov. 6, 2012 . . . and on that date there were 734 days to
pray for this year's election, now only 29 days away. How quickly those days
have flown by! Each week we gave the number of prayer days remaining.

Today may be our last announcement that there is less than a month to pray for
guidance on that important day. (If we can manage one more "occasional" issue
before Election Day, we'll do so!) So please: pray for God's guidance as you,
and millions across America, vote on Nov. 6.

In this "occasional" issue, we will depart from the usual format of the 10 years
of ANC's weekly issues. Some of our readers regularly forward ANC to
their list of friends, and with that use in mind, we will over emphasize what
others are saying about this election. You will not be reading just our opinion,
but the broad-based opinions of other commentators.

First: what you might call our "Editorial," and our view of the election.
On several occasions we have affirmed that we have not and will not endorse
any candidate in this election. Every issue of ANC clearly states the basic
principles we profess: Pro-Christian, Pro-American and Pro-Conservative. It
follows that we are very much against -- or "anti" -- politicians, platforms or
parties which are Anti-Christian, Anti-American and Anti-Conservative (or in
one word: Liberal).

So many have said -- and we totally agree -- this is the most important election in
our lifetimes. More than in any previous election that we can recall, it offers a clear
choice -- a choice between a return to the Judeo-Christian principles upon which
this nation was founded, or the anti-God, anti-religion principles of "political
correctness" ... a choice between the beliefs our Founding Fathers fought for: liberty
and freedom, or enslavement by a massive, all powerful socialistic government.

In this election we can choose to return to the timeless truths of the Declaration of
Independence, that we are endowed by our Creator with the unalienable rights of
life and liberty, and we can choose to restore the integrity of our Constitution to
make secure the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our posterity ... or we can
choose to allow Liberal "progressives" to retain power and continue to destroy
what is left of the Republic that was America.


Those words, Liberty and Freedom, were at the heart of the revolution that gave
birth to the United States of America. They aren't used very often any more, but
Thomas Jefferson in 1775 well expressed the basic principles of our nation's founding:
"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which
we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have
a right to receive from us." Nearly two centuries later, in 1961, Ronald Reagan
sounded like a modern day Founding Father: "Freedom is never more than one
generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in our
bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do
the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and
our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men
were free."

To the motivational word "Pray," we have added two other important words, and
urge every American Christian to heed them as we approach the date of Nov. 6,
now less than a month away: Pray ... Register ... Vote.


You may have noticed: we often quote others to help make a point. Following
the recent Democrat National Convention in North Carolina, when only after three
votes from the delegates was it possible to have the word "God" inserted in the party's
political platform for the upcoming election, there was widespread concern over the
anti-Christian direction in which the Democrat party was moving, Bishop E. W.
Jackson, founder of "Staying True to America's National Destiny" (STAND), urged
his black Christian minister brothers "It's time to come out of the Democrat party
... The Democrat Party has turned its back on Christians. It is time to turn our
backs on the Democrat Party," and declared that the party had become
"anti-Christian, anti-Church, anti-Bible, anti-Life, anti-Family, anti-God ...and
now is becoming anti-Israel."

From his headquarters office in Charlotte, Franklin Graham, President of the Billy
Graham Evangelistic Association, firmly stated in Decision magazine, "One party
affirms a belief in the sanctity of life. The other party does not. One party
supports the traditional biblical definition of marriage between one man and
one woman. The other party enthusiastically endorses and supports same-sex
marriage. I will not -- cannot -- vote for a candidate, regardless of their political
affiliation, who supports same-sex marriage and advocates abortion."

And from Doug Giles, whose Clash broadcasts never leave any question about his
solid Christian beliefs: "Could you vote for someone, if you knew that they were
hostile to your worldview? What if that candidate went beyond passive hostility
to act upon their enmity? In just 4 short years, President Obama has displayed
his hostility against biblical principles and the people who live by them."

Yes, this years election really represents a choice between Christian and anti-Christian
viewpoints. That is why your vote -- and mine -- is so important.

Because the Main Stream Media (MSM) is so strongly biased in favor of the
left leaning Liberals, we often attempt to bring you examples of "What Others
Are Saying" so that you have some views from observers outside the MSM.

Nonie Darwish (Egyptian born founder, Arabs for Israel): "Muslims are
trained to believe two opposite ideas at the same time. For instance, Islam
is a religion of peace. At the same time, they will say go kill the Jews and
the Christians because we have to go conquer them, and it's okay to do
terrorism for that purpose, for that cause -- for the cause of Jihad."


Bill Wilson (writing in dailyjot.com): "There seems to be a fine line between
sublime and ridiculous. For example, the occupant of the Oval Office's
bravado in announcing his 'new day' foreign policy with Islam has turned
into a national security nightmare for America reminiscent of Jimmy Carter."

David Harsanyi (writing in Human Events): "If bringing the
unemployment rate back to the 7.8 percent (with fewer people working at
lousier jobs) is what a stimulus plan, three rounds of quantitative easing
and endless spending gets us, this presidency can be safely categorized as
one of the worst investments in history."

Tom Minnery in Citizen Link: "At this time of year, it seems there’s a
new poll out every day indicating who’s leading the presidential race —
and the results are always different. How do we make sense out of all
this information? ... Polls can help us keep informed; we just have to
remember that they are only a snapshot of how a certain segment of
the population feels about a candidate at a particular point in time,
and often in a particular geographic location." 


Joel Pollak (writing in Patriot Post): "People died, Obama lied. That’s
the best summary of what has happened since Sept. 11, when terrorists
(yes, terrorists) attacked the U.S. consulate in Libya, killing four Americans
and the U.S. Ambassador, while terrorist sympathizers swarmed the U.S.
embassy in Cairo. The Obama administration insisted -- though it knew
otherwise -- that the attacks were provoked by an anti-Islam film made in
the U.S. by a Coptic Christian... Now, as new details emerge every day
about what the Obama administration knew and when, it is clear that
President Barack Obama lied shamelessly to the American people about
a terror attack that claimed American lives."



Skip MacLure (writing in Conservative Outpost): "This is the eve of the
most important election of our lifetimes. Quite possibly the most important
in our country’s two hundred and thirty six year history, keeping mindful
that we were fighting for our freedom then, and that this election is no
less than a war to maintain those freedoms preserved for us in fields of
conflict all over the globe. Barack Hussein Obama is an evil man. Look
beneath the false smile and ingratiating words and there’s rot and
corruption seething away just under the surface. This is an extreme
left-wing radical, inculcated from birth with ultra radical memes."



Investor's Business Daily: "Current estimates put the number of
Mexican nationals murdered by Fast and Furious weapons at 300. More
such evidence will be found and the Fast and Furious body count will
rise, ignored by the administration and its media protectors."

Ryan Zinke (Former Navy SEAL): "The President refuses to admit that
his policy of appeasement and apology has failed. The murder of our
Ambassador and two former Navy SEALs is more than a 'bump in the
road,' it is a global catastrophe where America is seen as being weak and
vulnerable by our enemies. This President has failed to establish a red line
for Iran’s nuclear ambitions and has failed to recognize the scale and
implications of the attacks against us."


Suzy Rice (in her column under the heading: Barack Obama; All Hype
and No President): "There is next to nothing to prove or substantiate that
Barack Obama has provided executive services to this nation over the past
four years, those years being the four he asked he be hired — and was —
to provide the nation with executive services. He’s agitated our population
and the populations of other nations, he’s annoyed, deprived, harassed,
confounded, betrayed and misinformed billions of human beings."

Those quotes should provide adequate evidence that there is another side to
current day news reporting than what the MSM serves up to us.

And now here is a much-longer-than-usual sampling of "One Liners"
which we came across in our research . . . you may enjoy them!

Sound familiar? A headline from Commentary magazine: "Islamists Storm
U.S. Embassy and America Apologizes"

Wayne Allyn Root, Las Vegas odds-maker and Libertarian political candidate:
"I’ll give Obama credit for one thing- he is living proof that familiarity
breeds contempt."

Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, on President Obama’s
speech to the United Nations: "a great, big, warm, fuzzy blanket.”

You may not consider her a commentator, but Madonna announced to a crowd
attending her MDNA Tour in Washington D.C., “For better or for worse, all
right, we have a black Muslim in the White House, OK?"

Dr. Paul Lamey: "The church needs shepherds, not coaches."


Barack Obama, on TV's 60 Minutes: "As president I bear responsibility for
everything--to some degree.”


Le Sellers, writing in One News Now: "We need to learn from the past: Islam
is not a 'peaceful' religion. It will overtake us, 'peacefully' or by force."

Barack Obama, in speech to U.N.: "The future must not belong to those who
slander the prophet of Islam."

Michelle Malkin, national conservative commentator: “A culture of corruption
has replaced honest government.”

Hugo Chavez, Venezuela President: ‘If I were American, I’d vote for Obama.’’

Great headline in re Pennsylvania's voter ID law: "Judge Rules Voter Fraud
Must Continue."

Surely those are enough "One Liners" for one issue -- unless you're into "Tweeting."
Here are two "Tweets," the first ones issued on the same date by two presidential
candidates:

"On this most somber day, America is united under God in its quest for peace
and freedom at home and across the world."

"The election is in 8 weeks. Sign up to volunteer."

After all that reading, there is room for just a few brief "Afterthoughts" . . .


Maybe you didn't know: October is "LGBT History Month" in our schools.
As Scott Lively, writing in Defend the Family, explains, many elementary and
secondary schools across America will observe October as "LGBT History Month."
Not all public schools have formally adopted the program, but many thousands of
innocent children will be subjected to what Dr. Lively describes as "the most
despicable brainwashing ever conducted in American classrooms." He points
out that in California the promotion of homosexuality to all school children is now
mandated by a law signed into effect by Democrat Governor Jerry Brown. Across
America many classrooms are controlled by "Gay Lesbian Straight Teachers
Network" (GLSEN) whose founder, Kevin Jennings, was appointed by President
Obama as our nation's "Safe School Czar." Dr. Lively summarizes: "They will be
taught, through carefully constructed lesson plans, to view homosexuals as a
superior class of human beings whose influence on society has been wholly
benign, but whose contributions to society have been limited to irrational
prejudice and bigotry." [Those last few words apparently represent GLSEN's
view of the Bible.]


Noted along the campaign trail . . . On The View, the day-time talk show on
which Mr. Obama chose to take time to appear (this is an election year, you know);
instead of meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu or other world leaders at
the UN, he chose instead to meet with Whoopi Goldberg, and made this profound
statement about him and Mrs. Obama: "We pay taxes so that kids who are going
to public schools can have good teachers and can succeed.Then he conceded
that the Obama children go to private schools, not public schools. (Just like the
wealthy people he so harshly criticizes.)

Oh, by the way -- that failure to meet with any world leader while at the UN is
another "first" for Mr. Obama -- the first time an American president has ignored
that responsibility in 20 years.

Sometimes it makes you wonder . . . Mr. Obama's view that financial success is
due to "blind luck." At a Harvard Law School "Celebration of Black Alumni" award
luncheon, speaking of those who had achieved financial success, he said, "Look how
well we did. Everybody can do what we did. Denying the role of blind luck that
played in getting everybody here. Or the sacrifices of a generation of women
doing someone else’s laundry and looking after someone else’s children to get
you here.” Is his present status as a multi-millionaire due to a corrupt city political
machine, a term in the U.S. Senate, blind luck or sheer genius? One does wonder.
